We had never considered taking someone on a ride along until a guy named John asked to come with us one day. He had saw what we were doing on twitter and personal messaged us and asked if he could join us on an investigation. We agreed as long as he could care for himself and not have us baby him the entire time. This gentlemen flew all the way from Florida to come on this ride along with us. It goes without saying that he was definitely dedicated to this ghost hunting mission.
John owned deltonaflcarpetcleaning.com and seemed to love to travel. He constantly talked about Spain for some reason but didn’t look like he was from there at all. He was a funny guy and he wasnt that way on purpose. From the first sight of him I didn’t know how well he would do in the desert. It is the desert after all.
We slept in tints there in the Sonoran and John of course brought everything from his home. He had such a nice set up for the first night but after three days I think he started to understand why we packed so light. After going into the desert so many times to do investigations we knew exactly what we needed. John did not.
It’s more likely our own fault for not telling him what to bring and what not to bring. Here’s a short list of what to bring and what not to bring when you go on a investigation with us.
- Bring water, food, and shelter
- If you have ghost hunting supplies then bring that as well
- Do not bring your tv, microwave, or blow up mattress.
- Yes im serious
You’ll have to consider that we move a lot to cover as much land as possible and discover all the activity we can in the desert. When you’re weighed down by unnecessary gear you won’t be able to keep up near as well. John learned his lesson and was much better on his next ride along.
